InsightEngine is the proprietary Rapid Building Simulation Tool which powers Properate.

Construction teams are going to need a lot more energy models in the future (see Power Minute: Performance-Based Building Standards). The current physics-based simulation tools are not able to simulate a large number of alternatives without significant time or computation power.

InsightEngine is solving this problem by abstracting away key simulation metrics and using the abstraction to estimate the design performance. The reported results should be the same as that of a physics-based engine.

InsightEngine is a "Platform Agnostic" tool, meaning that it can mimic the outputs of different simulation tools such as EnergyPlus and HOT2000.
